Draft MoU between SBU and Bukhara State University reviewed

A delegation of professors from Bukhara State University of Uzbekistan visited the Faculty of Life Sciences and Biotechnology of Shahid Beheshti University (SBU) on Saturday, December 9, 2023.
This delegation including the professors of biotechnology and food safety, agriculture and soil science, accounting and statistics from Bukhara State University visited the Faculty of Life Sciences and Biotechnology and its laboratories.
During the visit, a joint meeting was held with the presence of the director for international scientific cooperation and the professors of the faculty, and the parties expressed their desire for joint scientific and research cooperation, especially in the field of biotechnology, aquatic sciences, nanobiotechnology and Persian language education and reviewed the draft of an MoU between the two universities.
Dr. Abtahi, the director for international scientific cooperation, introduced the capabilities and achievements of SBU, and gave expert explanations about the subjects and fields of interest to the visitors.
Bukhara State University was established in 1930 in the city of Bukhara, Uzbekistan, and currently has 11 faculties, including physics and mathematics, information technology, natural sciences, linguistics, history and law, agriculture and biotechnology. This university has 1,100 expert faculty members and 24,825 students in three levels: bachelor’s, master’s, and PhD.
