President of SBU attends 3rd Young Scientists Congress

Prof. Seyed Mahmoud Reza Aghamiri, President of Shahid Beheshti University (SBU), and Prof. Peiman Salehi, Deputy Minister of Science, participated in the Third Young Scientists Congress as Iran’s representatives.
Prof. Abtahi, Director of International Scientific Cooperation, announced the foregoing news and added: “The third Young Scientists Congress was held with the aim of exchanging the latest scientific developments with other countries of the world, including Iran. This congress is the largest scientific and academic event in Russia, and representatives of SBU were invited to this meeting as a key university in scientific and international cooperation with Russia.”
Prof. Abtahi stated: “In this congress, a specialized meeting was held with the aim of examining the grounds for the development of scientific and technological cooperation with Iran, which was warmly welcomed by the presidents of important Russian universities, experts, professors, Iranologists and students.”
Prof. Abtahi added: “Due to its importance, this meeting was chaired by Andrei Fursenko, Aide to the President of the Russian Federation and former Minister of Science and Education of Russia, and the parties discussed bilateral cooperation. Prof. Aghamiri made speeches in two parts and put forward suggestions for expanding and deepening scientific and international interactions between Iranian and Russian universities and emphasized the role of science and technology diplomacy and scientific-strategic exchanges in the development of joint cooperation.”
The third Young Scientists Congress was held from November 28 to 30 at Sirius Park of Science and Art in Russia. This important annual event of the “Decade of Science and Technology” provides the largest platform for dialogue among advanced and basic sciences, government officials and the real sector of the economy.
