The 11th meeting of the heads, deputies and international directors of universities, higher education centers, research and technology of the country was held in the presence of the president of the university and the director of international scientific cooperation.

According to the management of international scientific cooperation of Shahid Beheshti University, in this meeting, which was held from 8:30 to 13:00 on October 27, 2020 in four general sections, Dr. Nasiri Gheidari, President of Shahid Beheshti University, in the first part of the meeting with the topic ” The performance of international scientific cooperation in the Corona era “, presented a report on the activities of Shahid Beheshti University in five general categories as follows:
• Measures taken to promote the international status of the university;
• Measures taken to address international challenges and barriers;
• Outlines of actions related to the national authority of Shahid Beheshti University in international scientific cooperation with Russia and Kazakhstan;
• Redefining research needs during the Covid 19 era;
• Effective and continuous communication with the Ministry of Education regarding the promotion of the international status of the university.

Following the meeting, Dr. Gholami, Minister of Science, Research and Technology, said: “A strong presence in the international arena shows the capabilities of the country’s higher education system.” He pointed out that in recent years we have had good activities in the field of development of international relations and this issue should be considered as an asset, he said: The development of higher education at the international level shows the ability of the country’s scientific collections and in Current situation Due to the prevalence of coronavirus in the world, for all countries, a leap forward and a transition from the present to the present time has occurred that each country has benefited from this leap according to its coordinates.

The Minister of Science, Research and Technology, in the end, stated that if we have the necessary measures for the international development of higher education, valuable achievements will be achieved, noting that the equipment and activities in the current situation must be provided and the necessary rules and regulations with Recommendations to help university centers to be further coordinated and the necessary permits to be followed up and obtained.
After the speech of the high official of the Ministry, the meeting continued in three other sections entitled “Attracting International Students and Elites in the Corona”, “Joint Research Projects in the Corona” and “Iran-China Cooperation”. In addition to presenting reports from universities and research institutes , Dr. Siddighi; Deputy Minister and Head of Student Affairs Organization, Dr. Rahimi; Deputy Minister of Research and Technology of the Ministry of Education and Dr. Salar Amoli; The Deputy Minister for International Affairs also addressed relevant issues.

Dr. Ahmad Khatami, faculty member of the Faculty of Literature and Humanities, will deliver a webinar entitled “Lamentation in Iran and India”.
The program, which will be hosted by the House of Culture of the Islamic Republic of Iran in New Delhi on Tuesday, 1 September 2020, from 3 to 6 PM, was attended by public libraries, cultural institutions and universities of Iran and India, and professors from Iran and India.
In addition, the training center of teaching Persian to non-Persian language speakers of Shahid Beheshti University (AZFA) will also participate in this meeting.

The meeting “International Scientific Cooperation Challenges outside the ministry and presenting proposed solutions” was held on Monday, 20 July 2020, hosted by the Scientific Policy Research Center of the country and attended by representatives of Shahid Beheshti University.
The meeting was attended by Dr. Karimian, Director, and Dr. Nezamzadeh, Deputy Director of International Scientific Cooperation.
In addition, before the meeting, a brief report entitled “The most important challenges of Shahid Beheshti University in relation to role-playing institutions in the field of international scientific interactions outside the Ministry of Science, Research and Technology” was prepared and sent to the Secretariat of the Scientific Policy Research Center.

The twelfth meeting of the International Scientific Cooperation Committe of Shahid Beheshti University, with the presence of Dr. Karimian, Director of International Scientific Cooperation Directorate and representatives of faculties, research institutes and centers, was held virtually on Monday, 20 July 2020.
At the beginning of the meeting, Dr. Karimian, announced that more than 350 faculty members of Shahid Beheshti University are graduates from abroad; The prevalence of Coronavirus has provided the potential for faculty members to communicate effectively with their foreign counterparts, faculty members and researchers; Therefore, according to the indicators announced by the Ministry of Science, Research and Technology regarding the promotion of the international position of universities and special attention to holding virtual courses or teaching foreign professors in the form of video conferencing and webinars, this opportunity should be used with the maximum efforts.
In following, Dr. Nezamzadeh, Deputy of International Scientific Cooperation Director, while presenting a brief summary of the results of the 11th meeting of the International Relations Committee, stressed the necessity to prepare and submit reports in a timely manner.
Also, Mr. Goudarzi, the expert of the International Scientific Cooperation Directorate, explained the indicators for evaluating the international activities of universities, a statement from the Center for International Scientific Cooperation of the Ministry of Science, Research and Technology, in order to develop general programs and policies of the university based on these indicators.
At the end of the meeting, Dr. Asli Abbasi, Representative of the Chair of Human Rights, Peace and Democracy, Dr. Salem, Representative of the Faculty of Theology and Religions, Dr. Mirdehghan, Representative of the Faculty of Literature and Humanities, Dr. Rashidi Mehrabadi, Representative of the Technical Training Center, Dr. Jan Jansari, Representative of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Energy, Dr. Masoudi Representative of the Faculty of Earth Sciences, Dr. Mottaki Representative of the Faculty of Architecture and Urban Planning, Dr. Movahed Representative of the Faculty of Physics, Dr. Sufizadeh Representative of the Research Institute of Environmental Sciences and Dr. Fartash Representative of the Research Institute of Basic Studies of Science and Technology shared their point of view on the raised issue.
